Yours Legally is a collection of six short stories, with one common protagonist, Sia Sen and the stories are bound with the one common thread, that is, law.
Sia Sen, a law graduate, narrates these incidents to the readers, from what she observed within her profession that not only teach her about law, but a lot more as well, impacting her life and leaving an impression.
The first three stories are based on the critical legal elements: The Complainant, The Court and The Case. The fourth story is based on the element The Counsel. The next two are based on the elements of The Confinement and The Criminal.
The author’s intent to write this book is to reach out to anyone who may or may not have heard anything about the legal profession and to anyone who’s into the profession, it will be relatable to them.
Short stories are rather difficult to write than a full length novel, so that the stories remain crisp. These short stories are no different. They have a courtroom drama scenes and the observations of a budding lawyer, learning a lot about legal profession as well as how the world works. The stories are quite interesting, and well-written, keeping the pace and do not bore the reader. Although a little insight behind each story from the author would have been appreciated, especially the first one. Nevertheless, it is for the reader to analyse the literary work. Enjoyed learning about the author’s journey of publishing this book too.
This is overall a great collection of six stories. A great read to learn that court proceedings aren’t like the bollywood movies. Talking about the cover, it’s just so simplistic and just so pretty, related to the content inside.

Sia, a young girl who recently completed her graduation in Law takes you through the real scenarios of being a lawyer. The author being an L.L.B. graduate talks about the judiciary system of our country, India through Sia the protagonist of the book. She talks about all the pros and cons of our system openly.
The book has six stories, six elements that are somehow connected and are based on a few real happenings. These stories give you a new way to look into life.
This book is an honest example set out to show the legal system of the country. Such books talk deeply about reality, things we are ignorant about.
I loved the idea and plot of the book. Itβs written in a technical language but is smooth and easily comprehensible. I have never read anything on law, but this book is a must-read for everyone.

This book revolves around the thematic base of law as a profession narrated in the form of short stories about a first generation female lawyer in India. It does not only dwell into the satirical features of the Indian society as a whole but also gives insight into the legal profession and how the court system works. The editing and grammar was a little below average however, it did not sway away from the plot of the book and how the stories even though being on separate topics entangle really well together. Overall, for a debut author this book is very easy to grasp and sheds light on fundamental legal concepts in a great manner.

/THE PUNISHMENT MAY COME TO FEW,THE FEAR SHOULD EFFECT ALL/
πππππ πππππππ ππ² ππ¨π§π’π πππ‘π’π£π°ππ§π’, is a anthology of incidents that left a prominent mark in our protagonist, Sia ‘s mind who has just graduated from her law college and now working under different law firms and assisting senior lawyers in order to explore and learn from these various opportunities.
/THE LAW CANNOT FAIL IN DISPENSING JUSTICE/
During these days of her she came across six incidents that occupied a prominent place in her mind and was discussed about in this book. Those six cases are,99 vs Ninyavee, The Kid on the Last bench, The wait for item No. 25, Behind those dark shades, Jail No. 5 and Qaidi No. 90
My favourites among them are BEHIND THOSE DARK SHADES, a story of a visually challenged Lawyer, master of his job. A Man With Actual Vision and his inspiring journey
JAIL NO. 5, here we get to know that Sia got a opportunity to fulfill one of her dreams to visit a jail and furthermore went on describing how beautiful and clean the jails are and where she had a convo with a man who seems decent man but is also a criminal this chapter was just surrel for me and seems like I can vividly visualise the whole thing
/EQUITY FOLLOW THE LAW/
The writing style was easy and lucid so that a person who doesn’t know anything about law can still grip on the stories blended with emotions
/THE CRIMES CARRIES THE PERSON/

βοΈ The Punishment May Come To Few, But The Fear Should Effect All !
.
π€ This book is a collection of six stories written by experiencing some bittersweet yet memorable experiences author had which she showcases by storytelling
Sia , the protagonist of the story who has just passed out her college and is keen on learning and taking cases and explore the profession more. This story is a reflection of her experiences during the journey of her in the field of law.
These story tells how the judiciary system works and how some people have to suffer in different forms yet not losing hope they believe in justice.
π€ Each story gives out an important lesson, embedded with different emotions it grips the readers interest till the end.
Though I expected that author should have told about the cases more interestingly , still it was a worth picking.
Even if you are not a law student , this book is an easy read and is penned in such a style that everyone can understand the legal terms.
π€ The two stories that actually left a deep impact on me were of a aged women who was bought to the court and being helpless was being behaved so ruthlessly by his own family, And another of the lil boy was brought to the court by her mother to win the case trying to gain sympathy by using her own child.
These were actually most heartwarming stories that were enough to tear me and know how people can stoop to win.
Both the elements of humanity, honesty, and hope made a difference that was enough to break all the barriers.
Happy Reader π¦

There are total 6 stories which are-
π99 VS ninyanve
πThe kid on the last bench
πThe wait for item No.25
πBehind those dark shades

βοΈAs I read the title of the stories,I got a different vibe.Different here means, something which aroused my curiosity. All the titles are something different and unpredictable.
βοΈAnd as I started to unfold the stories,I was in awe.
πI am a management student and in my first year,I had law as one of my subject. And there once my teacher said-In court you have to keep attention on your words keenly.Your one wrong word and the case is dismissed.
βοΈAnd I got to know this in 99 VS ninyanve.
βοΈOther stories were also different in their own.I liked ‘Behind those dark shades’ too.
βοΈEvery story was different and every story surprised me.
βοΈThe whole book was a page-turner for me.
βοΈI liked the book,as something related to law and justice and such experiences were first time read by me.
